The holy Quran is a guide to us all, Allah revealed it to guide us and help us. Whatever we need we will find the solution in the Quran, including a surah for blessings, of course.
Allah says in the holy Quran, “When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ About Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me.”
Allah is always there to guide us and help us. We should turn to Him whenever we need help and thank Him for all the blessings, he gave us.

Let’s now look at the 5 Surahs you should read for blessings:
1. Surah Al-Fatiha
Surah al Fatiha is the first surah in the holy Quran, we read it in every Rakah of every prayer. It’s one of the short surahs in the Quran with many blessings to its reciter. Allah says in surah Al-Fatiha:
“
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ١
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٢
All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds,
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٣
the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤
Master of the Day of Judgment.
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ٥
You ˹alone˺ we worship and You ˹alone˺ we ask for help.
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ٦
Guide us along the Straight Path,
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٧
the Path of those You have blessed—not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray.
“
Surah Fatiha is one of the best surahs to read for blessings. When reciting this surah we ask Allah for his guidance, we ask him to show us the right path and help us to stay on the right track. From this beautiful surah, we learn that we should always praise Allah, for all the blessings and gifts he gave to us.
Allah said in the holy Quran:
“If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Indeed, humankind is truly unfair, ˹totally˺ ungrateful” (Quran (14:34))
Besides being guided, Allah will reward us for thanking and praising him, he said in the holy Quran:
‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more…”. It also pushes away punishment “…But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.” (Quran (14:7)
When reading surah Al-Fatiha we call Allah by his names Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem, which reminds us how merciful Allah is. And those two names came right before the verse “Guide us to the straight path” to show us that the best way to ask Allah for something is by calling his names.
Allah said: “Allah has the Most Beautiful Names. So, call upon Him by them” (Quran 7:18)
Remember the Day of Judgement
Also, another good lesson we learn from this amazing Surah is to always remember the day of judgment. Remembering the day of judgment will help us stay on the right path and try our best to do good deeds.
We should always ask Allah for guidance and help, as he is the only one who will be there for us whenever we need him.
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) taught Muaz -one of his companions- to say the following Dua:
“… I advise you not to miss supplicating after every Salat (prayer) saying: O Allah, help me remember You, express gratitude to You and worship You in the best manner”
When reciting surah Al-Fatiha in prayer Allah reply to you, the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:
“Allah said: ‘I have divided the prayer between Myself and My slave into two halves, and My slave shall have what he has asked for…
When the slave says: “All the praise is to Allah, the Lord of all that exists”, Allah says: “My slave has praised Me, and My slave shall have what he has asked for” …
And when he says
“The Mos Gracious, the Most Merciful”, Allah says: “My slave has extolled Me, and My slave shall have what he has asked for… till the end of the Hadith.

2. Surah Al-Kahf.
The surah is number 18 in the holy Quran, with 110 verses that carry many lessons for us, in English, it is called “the cave”. It talks about faith (the people of the cave), wealth (the story of the man who had two beautiful gardens), power (the story of Dhul-Qarnayn), and knowledge (the story of Moses and khidr).
From all these beautiful stories we learn how to deal with life’s obstacles and tests. We learn that we should be patient, thankful, and humble.
We understand that having faith in Allah will solve all our problems and know that he will be there for us to protect us and guide us no matter what happens. From it we learn to thank Allah for all the blessings we have.
It’s one of the best surahs to read for blessings and guidance.
“[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, “Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.”
In this verse the people of the cave ran away from their people and hid in the cave, asking Allah to guide them and have mercy on them. As you can see, they had a strong faith in Allah, knowing that he is the only one who can help them. And like they did we should do the same. Ask Allah for anything you want and thank him.
Allah said in the Quran:
Say, “If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement.”
From this verse, we learn that Allah’s power has no limits. No matter what happens rely on Allah and he will save you.
3. Ayat ul Kursi.
Ayat ul Kursi is a verse from surah Baqarah. It is famous for being the greatest verse of the Quran. We should memorize it and recite it regularly and after each salah.
“Allah! There is no god [worthy of worship] except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He [fully] knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills [to reveal]. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.” (Quran 2:255)
The verse shows us that there is no god but Allah. The prophet said:
“Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise.”
Ayat ul Kursi truly is one of the best verses to read for blessings. So be sure to recite it after each prayer, before sleeping, and when waking up.
4. Surah Yaseen.
Our Prophet Muhammad said:
“Without a doubt, everything shows at least a bit of kindness. And the core of the Quran is Yaseen Surah. I might want that it be in the core of each adherent of my ummah.”
This hadith shows the importance of reading surah Yaseen. Some of which are the heart of the Quran. And our prophet urges us to read it.
Surah Yaseen gives relief and peace of mind to anyone who reads it. You will gain many rewards from reading Surah Yaseen. And it’s one of the best surahs to read for blessings.
So, from this hadith, we get the importance of this surah. And that it is the core of the Quran. It brings many rewards to us by just reading it.
According to narrators, our prophet said that reading surah Yaseen grants our wishes. Here is the hadith:
“Whoever pursues Surah Yaseen toward the start of the day, every one of his requirements for that day would be satisfied.”
Whenever we need Allah’s help, we should turn to the Quran. Ask God to help us, and grant our wishes. There is no shame in showing God our weakness. No one can help us achieve our dreams and fulfill our wishes but Allah. And that’s what you should have faith in. Even if you think that what you’re wishing for is impossible. Allah will always be here for you and will grant you what you wish for.
5. Surah Al-Ikhlas
Allah says in surah Ikhlas:
Say [O Prophet], “He is Allah—One [and Indivisible];
Allah—the Sustainer [needed by all].
He has never had offspring, nor was He born.
And there is none comparable to Him.” (Quran)
This surah shows us who Allah is. Even though it is a short surah it holds a great reward for the reciter. The prophet said that reading surah Al-Ikhlas is like reading one-third of the Quran. The prophet used to pray with surah Kafirun and Ikhlas in the optional prayer before Fajr and also in Witr.
“The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) would read in the two Rakahs of the dawn prayer: “Say, O unbelievers” {Surat al-Kafiroon} and “Say: He is Allah, the one {Surat al-Ikhlas}.” [Sunan Abi Dawud 1256]
