  • بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
    1
    When the heaven is cleft asunder,
  • وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
    2
    When the planets are dispersed,
  • وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
    3
    When the seas are poured forth,
  • وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
    4
    And the sepulchres are overturned,
  • عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
    5
    A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind.
  • يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
    6
    O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful,
  • ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
    7
    Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee?
  • فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍۢ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
    8
    Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee.
  • كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
    9
    Nay, but ye deny the Judgment.
  • وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
    10
    Lo! there are above you guardians,
