  • كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ

    Alas! No refuge!
  • إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
    12
    Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day.
  • يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
    13
    On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind.
  • بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌۭ
    14
    Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself,
  • وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
    15
    Although he tender his excuses.
  • لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
    16
    Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it.
  • إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ
    17
    Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof.
  • فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ
    18
    And when We read it, follow thou the reading;
  • ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ
    19
    Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof.
  • كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
    20
    Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now
