In the morning or night, you should seek Allah’s refuge. But what is the Surah to read in the morning for protection and guidance, let’s find out.

What is the best surah to read in the morning?

Quran in morning light to show what is the best surah to read in the morning

Here are the surahs that you should read every morning.

1.     Surah Baqarah.

And one of the most powerful surahs to read is surah al-Baqarah. And the most famous Aya to read is Ayat ul-Kursi.

It is famous for being the greatest verse of the Quran. We should memorize it and read it regularly and after each salah.

“Allah! There is no god [worthy of worship] except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining.

Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him.

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.

Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission?

He [fully] knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills [to reveal].

His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.”

The verse shows us that there is no god but Allah.

The prophet said:

“Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise.”

Be sure to read it after each prayer, in the morning, before sleeping, and when waking up.

But, why is it so important to read? This Aya shows Allah’s power and glory. There’s a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“For everything, there is a hump (pinnacle) and the hump (pinnacle) of the Qur’an is Surah Al-Baqarah, in it, there is an Ayah which is the master of the Ayat in the Qur’an; [it is] Ayat ul-Kursi.”

The Prophet told us about the many virtues of surah Baqarah. And the importance of reading its last two Ayat and Ayat ul-Kursi. Among those many virtues is that playing or reading surah al-Baqarah in the house in the morning protects the house from any evil.

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“Do not make your houses into graves, for the Shaytan flees from a house in which Surat al-Baqarah is recited.”

Abu Umamah al-Bahili said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Read Surat al-Baqarah, for reciting it regularly is a blessing and forsaking it is a cause of regret, and the magicians cannot withstand it.”

Benefits of reading Surah Baqarah in the morning.

One of the surahs you should read in the morning is surah Baqarah. Especially Ayat al-kursi and the last two verses from the surah.

One of its major benefits is that it protects you from Shaitan (Satan). Reading surah al-Baqarah daily will protect us from anyone who wishes us harm, the evil eye, and witchcraft.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“Satan runs away from the house in which Surah Baqarah is recited.”

Also, there are many hadiths about the importance of reading the last two verses.

Abu Mas’ud Al-Badri narrated:

I heard the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) saying, “He who recites the two Ayat [verses] at the end of Surat Al Baqarah at night, they will suffice him. “

Jubayr ibn Nufayr narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“Allah finished Surah al-Baqarah with two verses (285 and 286) which I have been given from His Treasure which is under the Throne; so learn them and teach them to your womenfolk, for they are a blessing, a means of an approach (to Allah) and a supplication.”

It is said that one of the benefits of Surah Baqarah for 40 days helps get rid of the devils and evil eyes from the house.

If you don’t have the time to read every morning, you can listen to the Quran, for free, on our site here while you are doing your morning routine or driving.

2.      Surah Al-Falaq.

Surah Falaq is one of the shortest surahs in the Quran. However, it is one of the most powerful surahs for protection against evil, black magic, and envy. Therefore, you should be sure to read it in the morning, and before sleeping.

The name of the surah came from its first verse. The meaning of the word Falaq is “daybreak”. It is also referred to as Mu‘awwadhah (seeking refuge). It is the surah number 113 in the holy Quran, that was revealed to the prophet in Madinah.

Surah Falaq was revealed to the prophet when he was ill due to black magic. Therefore, Allah revealed the surah to cure him.

Our beloved prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“Whoever recites the two surahs of Falaq and Nas, it is as though he has recited all the scriptures of Divine prophets.”

One of the Imams said:

“Whoever recites the three surahs of Falaq, Nās, and Ikhlas in the Watr prayer of his night prayer, a caller will address him saying, ‘Good news for you that God has accepted your Watr prayer.”

One of the most beloved surahs to Allah is surah Falaq. The prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:

“The two surahs of Falaq and Nās are among the most cherished surahs of the Quran before God.”

One of the surahs to read to ask Allah for forgiveness is surah Falaq.

Our Prophet said,

“Whoever recites the three surahs of Ikhlas, Nās, and Falaq ten times every night, it is as though he has recited the whole Quran, his sins will be forgiven as though he has just been born, and his death will be martyrdom.”

3.     Surah Al-Nas.

Surah Nas is one of the shortest surahs in the holy Quran. It is the surah number 114 and the final surah in the Quran.

Surah Al-Nas is one of the most powerful surahs for protection. Reading it keeps you safe from black magic, evil eye, and any harm.

The evil eye can cause all sorts of diseases. That’s why you should read surah Nas for protection. And reading it can cure any disease. And it keeps you safe from any harm. So be sure to read this surah in the morning and at night to protect yourself.

Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) narrated:

“Whenever Allah’s Messenger SAW became sick, he would recite Mu’awwidhat (Surah Falaq and Surah Naas) and then blew His breath over His body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Surahs) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.”

4. Surah Al-Ikhlas.

Here are the verses of the surah:

“ Say [O Prophet], “He is Allah—One [and Indivisible];

Allah—the Sustainer [needed by all].

He has never had offspring, nor was He born.

And there is none comparable to Him.” (Surah Al-Ikhlas)

This surah shows us who Allah is. Even though it is a short surah it holds a great reward for the reader.

The prophet said that reading surah Al-Ikhlas is like reading one-third of the Quran. The prophet used to pray with surah Kafirun and Ikhlas in the optional prayer before Fajr and also in Witr.

“The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) would read in the two Rakahs of the dawn prayer: “Say, O unbelievers” {Surat al-Kafiroon} and “Say: He is Allah, the one {Surat al-Ikhlas}.”

Converting to any religion is not a decision that’s easy to make. There are many things you need to learn, do, and understand before you can become a convert. In Islam, the process Is quite simple, actually.

How long does it take to convert to Islam? In order to convert to Islam a person should declare his faith by saying: “I bear witness that there is no true god except God (Allah), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the (Final) Messenger of God.” However, to take that step a person takes from 6 to 12 months to understand Islam and acquire all the knowledge he/she needs about it before taking the big step.

If you want to know how a person converts to Islam, and how many people convert each year then keep reading.

How to convert to Islam?

Converting to Islam is not hard, it’s rather easy. All you have to do is to declare your faith by saying the Shahada. You can do so alone or Infront of other Muslims if you want. But before you do so, here are some steps you must do first.

Understand Islam.

Before you convert to Islam you should first make sure that you truly understand Islam, and what it means to be a Muslim. As a Muslim you should believe that there is only one God, Allah is the only God, and he created the heavens and earth.

You should worship Allah and seek to do only good deeds to please him. You should also believe in all the prophets that Allah has sent us and that the prophet Muhammad was the last messenger Allah has sent and there will be no other prophet after him.

From the holy Quran, you will learn that all prophets were calling their people to Islam, and they were all Muslims. Muslims call God “Allah”.

Islam also tells us that both the Bible and Torah were indeed the true word of Allah. However, Islam also tells us that people have heavily modified them over the years that Allah considers them lost.

So, you should also believe that the Bible and Torah we have today are not the real versions and that the only holy book that is in its original state is the Quran.

Don’t Follow Sects

As a Muslim, you should follow Allah and the prophets’ instructions, and it’s better not to tie yourself to any sect.

As long as you’re following Allah and his prophet then you are a real Muslim, so avoid following any Bidah, if the prophet and Allah didn’t command us to do so then it’s a Bidah.

“Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects—you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do.” [6:159][2]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Beware! The people of the Book before were split up into seventy-two sects, and this community will be split into seventy-three: seventy-two of them will go to Hell and one of them will go to Paradise, and it is the majority group.

Read the holy Quran.

To understand more about Islam, you should read the Islamic scripture which is known as Quran.

When you read the holy Quran, you understand the truth of life and how we were created. You could also read the prophet hadiths. Haiths refers to what the prophet said and did in his life. When you read the hadiths and Quran you will understand Islam.

Talk to an Imam.

It’s normal to have questions and to clear it all out you should talk with a scholar that you will find them in a mosque.

They understand the Quran and Hadiths, therefore they can greatly help you with anything that you don’t understand and can clear any misunderstanding that you might have. The Imam can give the advice you need and tell you if you’re ready to become a Muslim or you still need to learn more before you take that step.

Declare your faith.

Now that you read the holy Quran, hadiths and learned about Islam and you see that you are ready to become a Muslim then the only thing left is to say the Shahada. But before you each this step make sure that you understand the Islamic believes and know how to be a muslim.

The Shahada is an oral declaration of faith, and it’s said as follows:

“Ash-hadu anla elaha illa-Allah wa ash-hadu anna Mhammadur rasul-Allah”

In English, it’s recited as follows:

“I testify that there is no other god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s messenger.”

Now that you said the Shahada you have become a muslim. The first part of it which says “Ash-hadu anla elaha illa-Allah”, not only means that there is no other God but Allah, but also refers to not letting anything be more important to you than worshiping Allah.

The second part which says “wa ash-hadu anna Mhammadur rasul-Allah” means that you believe that the prophet Muhammad is a messenger sent by Allah and that he is the last prophet sent to us. Now that you have become a Muslim you should follow the Quran and the prophet teachings.

It’s not just about the Shahada

Also, you should know that saying the Shahada without believing in not doesn’t make a person become Muslim. To be a Muslim you should believe it and every word of it from all your heart.

You should try your best to do only good deeds and stay away from committing sins like killing, stealing, lying, or anything bad, and you should follow the rules of Islam which is known as Shari’ah.

As we said you don’t have to recite the declaration of faith in front of anyone and you can do it all alone, however, to become legally a Muslim you should have two Muslim witnessing your Shahada or in front of an imam.

When you are ready to tell your family about the change, be ready for some mixed reactions. You can learn more about what happens when a family member converts to Islam here.

Do you need an imam to convert to Islam?

No, you don’t need an Imam to convert to Islam, you can do it alone, all you have to do is to declare your faith by saying the Shahada as follows.

“Ash Shadoo an La ilaha illa Allah, Wa Ash Shadoo ana Muhammadan rasoolu Allah.”

The translation of which is:

“I bear witness that there is no true god except God (Allah), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the (Final) Messenger of God.”

However, to understand Islam you better talk to an Imam and ask him about anything that you don’t understand.

How to convert to Islam for marriage?

First of all, you shouldn’t convert to another religion just for marriage, you should believe in the religion you are converting into.

Here are what you should do to understand Islam before you convert to because remember when you convert to Islam you should follow the beliefs of a Muslim and live as a Muslim.

Before you convert to Islam you should first make sure that you truly understand Islam, and what it means to be a Muslim.

The Belief in one god

As a Muslim you should believe that there is only one God, Allah is the only God, and he created the heavens and earth.

You should worship Allah and seek to do only good deeds to please him. You should also believe in all the prophets that were sent by Allah to us and that the prophet Muhammad was the last messenger sent to us and there will be no other prophet after him.

From the holy Quran, you will learn that all prophets were calling their people to Islam, and they were all Muslims. Muslims call God “Allah”.

They believe that Bible and Torah were lost over the years and the version that exists now is not real and was greatly modified. The only holy book that is preserved in its original state is the holy Quran and it hold the truth.

Be A True Muslim

As a Muslim you should follow Allah and the prophets’ instructions, and it’s better not to tie yourself to any sect. As long as you’re following Allah and his prophet then you are a real Muslim, so avoid following any Bidah, if the prophet and Allah didn’t command us to do so then it’s a Bidah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Beware! The people of the Book before were split up into seventy-two sects, and this community will be split into seventy-three: seventy-two of them will go to Hell and one of them will go to Paradise, and it is the majority group.

It’s okay to have Questions

It’s normal to have questions and to clear it all out you should talk with a scholar that you will find them in a mosque. They understand the Quran and Hadiths, therefore they can greatly help you with anything that you don’t understand and can clear any misunderstanding that you might have. How did Islam start?

One of the largest religions around the world is Islam it comes as the second-largest religion after Christianity, with more than 1.8 billion Muslims. It started in Mecca, which is known now as Saudi Arabia.

The beginning of Islam was when the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) got his first revelation and he shared the words of Allah he received.

The prophet and his followers were persecuted and not many people believed in Islam, so they had to leave mecca and went to medina in 622.

The people in the medina welcomed the prophet and the followers of Islam and the Islam religion spread. When the number of Muslims grew, they were able to return to Mecca in the year 630 to become the center of Islam. Then Islam grew and reached many people and places in the middle east.

The Caliphate

After the prophet’s death started the period known as the Rashidun Caliphate, where the Islam empire ruled the middle east. With time the Islam religion spread beyond the middle east through conquests to reach the big cities like Baghdad, Jerusalem, and Alexandria. Also, the North and Western parts of Africa were conquered taking control over much of the Byzantine and Persian territory.

The third Caliph Uthman created a version of the Quran to keep the words of Allah spreading for many generations so that people can read Quran at any time without having to memorize it. Also, many mosques were built for people to worship Allah.

After which was the beginning of the Umayyad Caliphate, where the Islamic empire grew to its peak and reached parts of Asia, India, Northern Africa, and parts of Europe. To unite the people and cultures, a common currency was made and the official language was Arabic, and also measurements were standardized. This led to the golden age, during which the Abbasid Dynasty took over by overthrowing the Umayyad.

We also have step-by-step guide that teaches you what to do and how to react appropriately when a family member converts to Islam here, so make sure to check it out.

When a family member converts to Islam his family gets annoyed and starts to question him/her not knowing what to do about it. In this article, we will discuss thoroughly how to deal with the matter.

What to do when a family member converts to Islam? When a family member converts to Islam accepts his/her choice, all religions are the same and they all instruct us to believe and worship Allah, to stay away from committing bad deeds, and always strive to do good. When you look clearly there’s not much of a difference, so be patient and try to understand the religion more.

Now let’s talk more about what to do when someone that you care about converts to Islam.

What to do when a family member wants to convert to Islam?

image of woman holding the quran to show what to do when a family member converts to islam

The family life starts to change, and for a while it gets weird and not all can accept it easily, however, try to be patient, understand why the person wants to convert to Islam, listen to his opinion and give him a chance to explain.

Most parents get mad and scream at their son or daughter, but that’s the wrong thing to do.

I know that there will be a lot to go through at the beginning, for example, when it comes to food, Muslims eat halal food, so you will hear questions like, “what kind of meat is this?” or “is the food halal to eat?”.

Yes, there will be a lot of changes but with time you will get used to it, make a conversation and listen to each other with respect and try to understand his choice, it is hard for the family members to confront their family about their conversation to Islam so don’t make it harder for them.

When someone converts to Islam he doesn’t just wake up and say I will change my religion, no, he thinks about it for months, or even years after a lot of searching and understanding of what he is putting himself into. You can learn in more detail how long it takes to convert to Islam here.

The holy Quran says

in Chapter 13, Verse 11: “Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves (with their own souls).”

When a person converts to Islam, he starts to see things differently and depend more on Allah, look at everything that happens in his life as a test from Allah, if he succeeded in his life then that’s a blessing from Allah to thank him for. And if something bad happens then that’s Allah well.

Don’t be afraid when a loved one converts to Islam, he will not get a way from his family, because family is very important to Muslims, especially parents. The Quran teaches Muslims how to treat their parents even if they are of a different religion.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا ۖ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا

“Worship Allah and associate nothing with him, and be good to parents.” [Surat al-Nisa 4:36]

“Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but him, and be good to your parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them a word of annoyance and do not repel them, but rather speak to them a noble word. Lower to them the wing of humility for them, out of mercy, and say: My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.” [Surat al-Isra 17:23-24]

Allah instruct all Muslims to respect, honor and obey their parents, and to treat them well.

We know that having a family member converting to Islam is not easy but look at the bright side, he won’t drink any alcohol, drugs, or smoking, he will stop cursing, and wont abuse to the people surrounding him. There are a lot of good changes that will come to the persons life. Additionally, converting to Islam doesn’t mean he will forget his family, he will always love you and be there for you, actually you will see a lot of great changes in his life.

What to do when a family member converts to Islam?

The first thing you need to do is to listen, listen to what he/she have to say, understand why does she/he wants to convert to Islam. Because believe something like changing the religion is not an easy choice it comes after a lot of research and understanding of the religion.

Don’t just scream at them or tell them they are making a big mistake. Just listen with your mind and heart perhaps you will be amazed by what you hear. When a person converts to Islam it’s because he believes that there is only one God, and he wants to become a better person.

That doesn’t mean that the person you know will no longer be there, he will only gain some positive traits like quitting alcohol, smoking, drugs, and bad habits.

We all know what people think about Islam and the bad things we hear about it make us really scared of the idea but it’s all a misconception.

What we hear is not always true, the media creates a bad Idea about Muslims, but if you meet one you will see that he is not a monster like you see in the media, they are normal humans. Therefore, try to understand more about the religion from your family member, talk with knowledgeable Muslims and clear all the misunderstandings you have about Islam.

Give yourself time

In the beginning, you will be annoyed by all the changes in your loved one personal life, for example, the way he/she dresses, what he or eats and drinks, or not going out on dates. It’s not a bad thing, look at it as a new way of life that you will get used to as time goes by. And remember nothing will change he will always be the same person that you have always known.

If you have any concerns or if something is bothering you about his life changes just talk to him in a way that doesn’t jeopardize his new faith.

Talk to him in a way that makes him see how concerned you are about that change and understand his point of view perhaps it won’t be as bad as you think and you will come up with a solution that works for both sides.

I know that accepting so much change is not easy but remember it’s their choice, not yours and that they are adults that can make their own decisions.

Understand it’s a personal choice

And when it comes to something as big as converting to new religion it’s completely their choice and no one else should middle in that choice.

Having a family member converting to Islam and practicing a new faith that is different than yours is not personal, he is not doing this to annoy you or because he doesn’t love you, because he does love you and the confronting you about the conversion was the hardest thing he had to do.

All the fears you have of losing that person are not just your own fears, he must be going through the same fears and even more. As parents or family, you mean the world to him, and he is afraid of losing this. So, talk to each other, face your fears and share your opinions, it won’t be as scary as it seems.

Islam instructs a person to be kind, loyal, honest, and modest, having a Muslim in your family is not a bad thing. Give them a chance, and see how they turn out to be a great person that always strives to do what is good and kind to others

What to do when a sibling converts to Islam but parents disapprove?

It’s normal to faith so much rejection when you first tell your parents about your conversion to Islam, they are your parents the ones who raised and cares about you the most, and telling them that you converted to a different religion is a big deal to make them understand your choice you must show them what Islam truly means and the good traits of a Muslim.

Many people have a lot of misconceptions about Islam because of what they hear and see in the media, therefore you need to show them that it’s all not true.

Make them understand your point of view, teach them about the believes of a Muslim and what the Quran says about family members, to show them that you won’t get away form them.

Assure them you’re still a family

What the parents worries about the most is losing their child, so show them that this won’t happen. Tell them that Islam teach the person to love and obey his parents and to be kind to them.

Inform them about the following verses from the holy Quran:

Allah says in the holy Quran:

{And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness.} [Quran 31:14-15]

Moreover, Asmaa’ bint Abu Bakr  may  Allaah  be  pleased  with  her said: “My mother came to visit me while she was an idolater at the time of the Prophet  peace and blessing be upon him ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) so I asked him [the Prophet]: “My mother has come desiring my kind treatment. Shall I keep ties with her? He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Yes, be dutiful to your mother.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Show them you’re still their child

Showing your parents that you will always be there for them will calm them a little. Then you must tell them why did you make up your mind to convert to Islam, and what Islam really means. Clear all their misunderstanding about Islam and Muslims.

If your parents still don’t agree with your conversion be patient, talk to them and understand their concerns. They are not disagreeing just to bother you; they have many concerns about the many changes that will happen and they don’t know how to deal with it. Your role here is to clear all their concerns and talk them out with them.

However, if they try to force you to change your religion again remember that your faith is the most precious thing you have.

Do Not Give Up

The prophet and his companions went through a lot but they kept fighting and sacrificed everything they have in the sake of Allah. Allah said in the holy Quran: “For the poor emigrants who were expelled from their homes and their properties, seeking bounty from Allaah and [His] approval and supporting Allah and His Messenger, [there is also a share]. Those are the truthful.” [Quran 59:8]

You will go through a lot of rejection and people might treat you badly, but don’t fall to them, be patient and remember when you meet bad deeds with good deeds Allah ill reward you.

Allah says in the holy Quran: “And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better, and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.” [Quran 41:34]

Ibn Katheer said in his Tafseer to that verse: “That is to say that if you do good to someone who mistreats you, then this good that you do to him will lead him to have a good attitude towards you, love you, and be compassionate with you until he becomes like an intimate friend to you, who is sympathetic and kind to you.”

Tips to the new converters to Islam.

Converting to a different religion is not easy, it’s a big decision to take and you will be met be the disapproval of the ones you care about the most, your family members. They are sacred as much as you are and don’t want to lose you. Therefore, here are some tips to deal with this difficult situation.

1-     Understand your family.

This might seem weird but your family doesn’t care about Islam, they don’t know anything about it, they only learn about Islam from what they hear from the media. What they truly care about is you not your religion.

What the parents really fear is losing their child, they don’t care about your faith as much as they care about you.

They want to know that you will never leave them or run away from them. They don’t want their kid to become someone they don’t recognize.

Therefore, you should focus on showing them that you will always be there for them that nothing will change you and that your new faith will not pull you away from them. Tell them that changing your dressing style and what you eat will not change anything you will be the same person they have always loved and cared about. Show them that you will always love them no matter what and that this will never change.

When you come to visit them talk about the things you used to talk about, don’t make the whole conversation about Islam. Talk about the things they love, the good things you did in your life, and with time they will accept your conversion to Islam.

2-     Converting to Islam doesn’t mean getting away from your family.

Becoming a Muslim doesn’t mean that you should distance yourself from your own family because they don’t share your faith. Islam teaches Muslims to be kind to their families, and to respect and obey them. As Allah says in the holy Quran:

“Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but him, and be good to your parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them a word of annoyance and do not repel them, but rather speak to them a noble word. Lower to them the wing of humility for them, out of mercy, and say: My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.” [Surat al-Isra 17:23-24]

Your parents have rights over you, and distancing yourself away from them will only make it worth, and you will make their fears come true. Remember, you want to show them that you will always love them and be there for them, and distancing yourself is completely the opposite to what you want to do.

Show your parents how much you love them and that your faith instructs you to do so, not to get away from them. Show them what Islam means through your acts, not your words. Buy them presents, be kind to them, and show them your love. Don’t let your faith change any of this, they are still the family that you have always loved, and nothing has changed.

If conversion to Islam weakened your family ties, then you should do your best to strengthen it again, and make your family comfortable with your religious conversion.

3-      Respect your family’s religion.

You can’t ask a person to respect your religion if you don’t respect theirs, yes you will feel at the beginning of your religious conversion that the people that you care about need your guidance. However, you must understand as you love and respect Islam, your family also loves and respect their religion and you don’t have the right to make them feel that they are misguided. If you want them to respect your religion you should do the same. The prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) instructed all the Muslims to respect other religions and you should follow that instruction.

Ibn Abbas narrated: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) went out (of his house) on the day of Fitr, prayed two Rakat, and did not pray before or after it.”

Ibnul-Qayyim said: “Neither he (peace be upon him) nor his companions prayed when they arrived at the Musalla – before the prayer or after it.”

How to pray Eid prayer?

1- Make the niyyah (intention) before you start praying. The intention comes from the heart you don’t have to say it. Say the following:  ‘I intend to pray two Rakah of the Eid al-Fitr prayer for Allah.’ By doing so you prepare yourself mentally so that you can concentrate.

2- Now you don’t pray on your own, follow the imam. Even if you know how to perform the salah on your own you shouldn’t move or speak before the imam. You are not racing with the imam, so listen to him and follow his lead.

3- When the imam raises his hands and says “Allahu Akbar”, you should do the same. Then you will recite the al-Istiftah Dua. Afterward, the imam will say “Allahu Akbar” 3 times and you will repeat after him and raise your hands after each utterance. After raising your hands put them back down by your sides.  “Allahu Akbar” means “The Lord is the most magnificent” or “Allah is the greatest.”. while al-Istiftah Dua is the dua that refers to starting the salah. There are multiple dua but here are one of them: غَيْرُكَ (Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk).

4- Now put both your hands on your chest, place the right hand on top the left hand. The imam will now recite surah Al Fatiha and then a second Surah. The sunnah is to recite surah Al A’la in the first rakah. Listen to the imam carefully and try to focus.

5- When the imam finishes the surah he is reciting you will perform what is called Ruku, meaning that you will bow and place your hands on your knees and say “Subhaana rabiyal ‘adheem” three times. Try to make your back parallel to the ground and look at the ground. Then when you hear the imam saying “Sami Allahu liman Hamidah”, stand up again and say “Rabbana lakal Hamd”, and they both mean “Allah hears those who praise him,” and “Our Lord, praise be to You.

6- Now when the imam says “Allahu Akbar.” You will go into sujud. You get onto your knees with your forehead touching the ground and say “Subhaana rabiyal a’la” three times. Then you will sit and do another sujud. And this is the end of the first rakah.

7- The imam will say “Allahu Akbar” and you will stand back up. Then the imam will recite surah Al Fatiha and another Surah. The sunnah is to recite Surah Al Ghashiyah in the second rakah. During this listen carefully and try to focus.

8- When the imam raises his hands and say “Allahu Akbar”, you should do the same. Then you will recite the al-Istiftah Dua. Afterwords the imam will say “Allahu Akbar” 3 times and you will repeat after him. Then go to ruku after the third “Allahu Akbar”. Now say “Subhaana rabiyal ‘adheem” three times.

9- when the imam says “Allahu Akbar.” You will go into sujud. You get onto your knees with your forehead touching the ground and say “Subhaana rabiyal a’la” three times. Then you will sit and do another sujud.

10- When you finish the second sujud sit and say the Tashahhud

Attahiyyaatu lillaahi wassalawaatu wattayyibatu. Assalaamu ‘alayka ayyuhan-Nabiyyi warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuh.

Meaning: “All the compliments are for Allah and all the prayers and all the good things (are for Allah). Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and blessings (are on you). And peace be upon us and on the good (pious) worshipers of Allah. I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Apostle.

O, Allah! Praise Muhammad, and on the family of Muhammad, as You Praised Ibraaheem and the family of Ibraaheem; you are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory. And send blessings on Muhammad, and on the family of Muhammad, as you sent blessings on Ibraaheem, and the family of Ibraaheem; you are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory.”

11-  When you finish the Tashahhud turn your face to the right and say “Assalamu alaikum Wa Rahmatullah.” Then turn your face to the left and repeat the prayer again.

Online Quran learning is expanding greatly especially in the past few months. People are gaining a new understanding of online learning and how it can be more convenient than offline courses and classes

It’s our responsibility to teach our children the Quran. That’s why parents are looking for a good way for their children to learn Quran, and this way is often finding a good kids Quran tutor online.

Quran Online made a list of benefits of having an online Quran tutor for kids.

Keep reading to know more!

9 benefits of having an online Quran tutor for kids

More Flexibility In Classes

Kids can find it hard to commit to tight schedules that are often made in offline classes. Luckily, online Quran learning with tutors is way more flexible than offline ones. You get to choose the best time suitable for your kid according to their concentration, free time, and school days.

More Interactive

Kids learn better if they feel involved in the learning process. Online tutors use the most interactive materials out there to grab the attention of children and teach them at the same time. Videos, images, and games are held online to entertain and teach your kid.

Better For Shy Kids

Some kids find it hard to interact and feel comfortable in the presence of other students. They don’t speak up, they don’t answer questions, and they don’t feel engaged. Private Quran tutors are better in this situation as they are trained to get kids out of their bubbles with the aid of having no one else except the tutor.

More Comfort In Making Mistakes

Your kids will feel much more comfortable making mistakes, therefore learning the right thing, if they’re only interacting with their tutor. Some kids feel ashamed of making mistakes among a big group so they avoid answering at all which hinders their learning process.

Customized Learning Pace

Learning paces differ from a child to another and having someone who can customize their method to fit your child’s pace is important. Online Quran tutors for kids are well-trained to deal with different learning paces and how to figure out the right one according to your kid.

Time-saving

Some people believe that it is unimportant to consider saving time for children. It’s a typical mistake that discourages children from wanting to learn the Quran. The capacity of children to commit to weekly lessons is so low that we must consider ways to save time in order to limit learning time to only the class duration, without having to commute to and from the learning center location.

The Undivided Attention Of Tutors

Signing up with a kids Quran tutor will give your kids the benefit of having the undivided attention of their tutor, which is essential in kids’ learning. The tutor will concentrate on the needs of your child and how to meet them with the right content and method.

More Content Options With Different Levels

Now, it’s not a “Quran class” where tutors can teach all aspects of the Quran all at once. The content for online courses is broken down into modules, each one represents an aspect of the Quran that kids need to learn i.e recitation, Tajweed, Tafsir, memorization, and so on.

You’ll get to choose the level you want the tutor to meet for your kids. If you’ve already taught your kids the beginners’ principles, you get to choose a tutor that starts from the intermediate level without having to start from scratch and waste time.

There’s No Risk

In the current circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have to protect our kids from interacting with people or leaving the house since kids are one of the most prone sectors to getting infected by a coronavirus. With online Quran tutoring, your kids stay home safe while learning and advancing in Quran.

When Should I Start Teaching My Child the Quran?

The earlier you start teaching your child the Quran, the better. Three years old is a good age to begin teaching your children the Quran. At this age, your kid must only learn about Islam’s principles and how to apply them in their daily lives.

Don’t worry about finding a Quran tutor for your 3-year-old kids, there are multiple tutors who are specialized in teaching Quran in a simple way using audio and visuals to draw kids to learning Quran and understanding its concepts.

How Can I Help My Children’s Quran Tutor?

Having an online Quran tutor for your children will ensure that they are learning Quran from a skilled teacher who will produce the desired outcomes. However, you may assist them with a few basic strategies that will produce outcomes more quickly and efficiently.

Revise With Your Children

Revision may be a part of online learning after passing several classes. However, you can keep up with every new thing they learn with the tutor and revise with them by asking them questions and letting them explain what they learned so far.

Buy Them Islamic Books

Head to the nearest store or order them some Islamic books online and ask them to read these books when they’re free. The content of these books will help introduce them to new concepts they can discuss with their tutor or help to revise the concepts they’re already familiar with.

Ask For The Tutor’s Feedback

Having an online tutor doesn’t mean you are not responsible for how your kids are doing. Make sure to constantly ask for the tutor’s feedback on their progress and ask them about their recommendations of how you can make them progress better and faster.

Give A Huge Significance To The Class

The class significance to you is exactly how it is to your children. If they saw you not giving the class due care, they’ll think it’s less important than other things. So, make sure to tell them how this class is sacred and can’t be missed except for emergencies.

Tell Them The Importance Of Quran Learning

It’s important to instill the love of Allah and the Quran in them when they’re still young. Explain to them the importance of learning the Quran and how Allah commanded us to do so in order to succeed in life. Try to clarify the following Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) on Quran learners being the best:

“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”

Ask The Tutor When You Can Give Them Rewards

Rewards are an unavoidable part of kids learning. However, it’s essential to ask the tutor when you can give them rewards for being good students to encourage them to do better and keep a good attitude.

Do I Get a Reward For Teaching My Children Quran?

Some people are unaware that there is a reward for teaching your children the Quran. Parents who urge their children to learn the Quran receive enormous rewards from Allah now and in the hereafter. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Whoever recites the Quran, learns it, and acts according to it will be given a crown of light to wear on the Day of Judgement whose light will be like the sun. His parents will be clothed in two garments that did not exist in this worldly life.”

(Al-Hakim, Ath-Thahabe)

Your child receives additional benefits in addition to the divine blessings. They grow more aware of the religion and how to treat you properly, they avoid sins and mistakes, and you will receive a reward for every time they do anything right in accordance with the Quran’s teachings. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Whoever guides to something good is like the one who does it.”

(Sahih Muslim)

Benefits of Listening To The Holy Quran

quran to show how to listen to the holy quran in arabic online for free

The divine message included in the Quran is Allah’s. He sent these words to Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him).

who was to announce them to the whole world and encourage everyone to believe what was said.

So, what better way to draw closer to Allah than to listen to what He wants us to hear?

Listening and reciting the Quran was one of Prophet Muhammad’s most persistent habits. That’s why it is a sunnah.

Ibn Masood (May Allah Be Pleased With Him) narrated that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) asked him:

“Recite (of the Quran) for me.” I replied: “Shall I recite it to you although it has been revealed to you?” He said: “I like to hear it from others.”

Listening to the Quran is, without a doubt, one of the most straightforward methods to acquire Allah’s blessings. The Holy Quran states that:

“who listen to what is said, then, follow the best of it. Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones who possess understanding”

(Surah az-Zumar)

Scientifically Proven Effects

Aside from the spiritual and religious aspects, it’s good for you.

listening to the Quran has been shown to be good for your body, heart, and soul.

It happens to every one of us when we feel blue then listen to Quran verses and feel better. That is exactly what Allah’s power via the Quran can accomplish for your heart and soul.

“Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah, for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.”

(Surah Ar-Ra’d)

Research studies conducted many years ago proved that balanced and rhythmical sound waves were good for the body.

Balanced sound waves aid in the treatment of Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Sleep Disorders, and some destructive habits including smoking and drug abuse. It aids in the treatment of diseases and the alleviation of symptoms.

It’s the same as listening to the Quran. Because the vibrations produced by Quran recitation are rhythmical.

This means they tend to realign brain cells, therefore increasing intellectual ability and performance. All you have to do is listen to the Holy Quran being recited.

The study

Ahmad al-Qadhi also performed a study on the impact of the Quran on individuals who listen to it in Florida, USA.

The verses of the Quran were read aloud to three groups of people:

  • Arabic-speaking Muslim groups
  • Non-Arabic speaking Muslims
  • Non-Muslims who could not speak Arabic.

The findings of this study revealed that:

just by listening to Quran recitations, the three groups were able to perceive significant physiological changes.

These included decreased anxiety, melancholy, and rejection of different illnesses.

Al-Qadhi conducts his study using cutting-edge electrical equipment to monitor heart rate, muscular endurance, and skin resistance to electricity.

The research proving that the Quran has a therapeutic impact came as no surprise to many Muslims. We already had previously read this in the Quran.

It’s stated in the Quran hundreds of years ago:

“And We send down of the Quran that is a healing and a mercy to those who believe and it increases the wrongdoers with nothing but loss.”

(Surah al-Israa)

How Can I Listen To The Quran Online in Arabic For Free?

You can listen to the Quran online in Arabic for free using the Quran Online listening feature. This simple tool will give you access to a wide range of Quran reciters, not just one, from which to select your Qari.

Then you’ll have access to all of the Quran’s chapters (Surahs) in one place.

You may also enroll in an online  Quran recitation course with Quran Online and its team of experienced university-approved Quran teachers.

They will teach you how to recite the Quran correctly without requiring you to leave your home.

Why Should You Listen to the Holy Quran in Arabic?

You need to listen to the Holy Quran in Arabic because it’s the Quran’s original language and this allows you to get the real benefits from listening.

Listening carefully to the Quran’s recital is unquestionably a highly useful and encouraged practice for Muslims, even those who do not understand Arabic.

All the scientific studies conducted on the Quran listening benefits used the Arabic Quran in the experiments.

In addition, you need to improve your understanding of the Arabic Quran as it was sent down purposefully in this language for us to understand.

Can I Just Rely on Listening To The Quran Instead of Reciting It?

No, you can’t rely on listening to the Quran instead of reciting it as you need to recite the Quran every once in a while as well.

Listening is indeed easier and can be done anywhere and anytime, but you can’t rely on it solely to strengthen your bond with the Quran without frequent recitation every now and then.

Regardless of the value and benefits of listening to the Quran, reciting its Arabic text aloud clearly outperforms it.

This is due to the fact that when a Muslim recites the Quran aloud, more of the human senses are engaged than when they simply listen to it.

Even if your command of Arabic is limited, you should strive to recite the Quran as best you can. Sequentially, you should strive to gain the necessary knowledge to assist you in improving your Quran recitation.

We might conclude that carefully listening to the Quran and keeping silent while doing so is a good deed.

A Muslim, on the other hand, should perform both good deeds; reciting the Quran with their voice and listening to it silently and attentively.

Is It Okay If I Listen To The Quran While Doing Other Activities?

Yes, it’s okay to listen to the Quran while doing other things. You may listen to the Quran while showering, cooking, exercising, relaxing, driving, or even working.

It’s totally fine to listen to the Quran all the time as long as you pay attention to it and don’t use it as background noise.

Just make sure you’re not too distracted by what you’re doing that you’re not listening or comprehending what’s being said anymore. If so, it’s better to pause or stop the Quran recitation after the Qari finishes the verse he’s reading.

Even if you can’t speak Arabic or your command of the language is weak that you don’t understand what’s being recited.

It’s better to pay attention to the sound and avoid talking or drifting away from the recitation.
